Connect any industrial device, automate processes, and turn machine data into decisions. The low-code IIoT platform built for manufacturers, integrators, and SMBs — without the hyperscaler complexity.

What is Industrial IoT (IIoT)?

Industrial IoT (IIoT) is the network of sensors, actuators, gateways, and analytics platforms that connect industrial machinery to the internet to collect, analyze, and act on operational data in real time. Unlike consumer IoT, IIoT requires high availability, low latency, and robust security because production downtime has direct economic and safety consequences. IIoT is the technological foundation of Industry 4.0.

Sensors and actuators

Capture physical variables (temperature, pressure, vibration, energy) from industrial machinery and convert them into digital signals.

Industrial connectivity

Protocols like LoRaWAN, NB-IoT, MQTT, OPC-UA, and Modbus securely transport data from edge devices to the platform — even in environments with limited bandwidth.

IIoT platform

Centralizes device management, dashboards, alerts, automation rules, and analytics. The platform is what turns raw sensor data into operational insight.

Edge and cloud analytics

Critical decisions run at the edge for low latency; aggregated analytics, predictive maintenance, and OEE happen in the cloud across multi-site fleets.

IoT vs Industrial IoT — what's the difference?

Both use connected devices. Their requirements diverge sharply once production-grade reliability enters the picture.

Attribute
Consumer IoT
Industrial IoT (IIoT)
Primary goal
Comfort and convenience
Operational efficiency, uptime, safety
Reliability requirement
Tolerates occasional outages
24/7, no tolerated downtime
Latency
Seconds acceptable
Milliseconds (closed-loop control)
Security
Important
Critical — segmented OT/IT, signed firmware, audit trails
Typical protocols
Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Zigbee
LoRaWAN, NB-IoT, OPC-UA, Modbus, MQTT
Failure cost
Inconvenience
Production line stop, safety incident, lost revenue
The key difference

Industrial IoT must work without supervision, often in harsh environments, with deterministic behavior. The platform you choose has to match those expectations from day one — retrofitting a consumer IoT stack to industrial requirements rarely works.

How Industrial IoT works — end-to-end architecture

Industrial IoT systems are layered: edge data acquisition, robust connectivity, platform processing, and application delivery. Cloud Studio handles the platform + applications layers and integrates with industry-standard edge and connectivity stacks.

01

Edge — sensors and field devices

Where the physical world becomes data.

Industrial sensors (temperature, vibration, pressure, flow, energy) and actuators connect to PLCs (Siemens S7, Allen-Bradley, Schneider Modicon) or directly to gateways. Edge devices increasingly run pre-processing logic to reduce uplink bandwidth and react to critical events with millisecond latency.

Supported protocols
Modbus RTUModbus TCPEthernet/IPPROFINET

Why Cloud Studio for Industrial IoT?

We're not the cheapest hyperscaler nor the most enterprise-locked SCADA. We're the in-between built for SMBs, integrators, and manufacturers who need production-grade reliability without enterprise complexity.

Low-code, not no-code

JavaScript scripting engine for the 10% of cases that need custom logic. Drag-and-drop dashboards for the other 90%.

Multi-tenant white-label

Integrators run dozens of customers from a single platform with full brand isolation. 3 levels of white-labeling.

Hardware-agnostic

30+ pre-built device integrations: LoRaWAN sensors, Modbus RTU/TCP, MQTT brokers, NB-IoT and TCP devices, plus PLCs and OPC-UA through an edge gateway.

Predictable pricing

Fixed-tier pricing in EUR. Not pay-per-event hyperscaler bills. No surprises at end of month.

How to choose an industrial IoT platform

Nine questions to put to any IIoT platform vendor before a pilot, and how Cloud Studio IoT answers each one.

Criterion
What to ask the vendor
Cloud Studio IoT
Industrial protocols
Can it read my PLCs, Modbus and OPC UA equipment without replacing it?
Yes. A software gateway at the edge reads Modbus, OPC UA and PLCs and sends the data to the platform over secure MQTT.
LoRaWAN and direct devices
Does it work with the LoRaWAN network server and the devices I already use?
LoRaWAN through The Things Stack, LORIOT, ThingPark, ChirpStack and other network servers. MQTT, HTTPS and TCP devices connect directly.
Cloud or on-premise
Can I run it on my own servers, even without internet access?
Both. Cloud on AWS (Frankfurt for Europe, US for the rest of the world) or on-premise on Windows Server and SQL Server, offline too. You can start in the cloud and move later.
Uptime and alarms
What uptime does it offer, and how do alarms reach the operator?
99.9% uptime, excluding scheduled maintenance. Alarms by email, SMS, WhatsApp, voice call and push.
Integrators and multiple clients
Can I serve several end customers from one platform, under my brand?
Multi-tenant with white label and customer portals, in the cloud and on-premise.
Security
How are users, permissions and changes controlled?
SSL encryption, granular permissions, SSO, native two-factor authentication, continuous vulnerability scanning and an audit trail.
Pricing model
Is the price published, and does it grow per message or per device tier?
Monthly plans by tier, published on the pricing page. On-premise is a one-time payment. Free trial available.
Proven scale
Has it run a deployment the size of mine?
150,000+ connected devices, with more than 100,000 in a single deployment (Buenos Aires street lighting).
APIs and apps
Can my systems read and write data, and do operators get a mobile app?
A documented API for everything, plus iOS and Android apps.
The key difference

The quickest test is a pilot with one real machine or line. Cloud Studio IoT has a free trial and phone support, so you can check protocols, alarms and dashboards against your own equipment before committing.
