Ecowitt weather stations and gateways publish their readings to the Ecowitt cloud. Cloud Studio IoT reads them from there through the Ecowitt API, so the stations keep working exactly as they are: there is nothing to reconfigure on site. The platform also imports the history the Ecowitt cloud already holds, so a station that has been reporting for months does not start with an empty chart.
Sign in to ecowitt.net with the account your stations publish to, open your user profile and create an Application Key and an API Key.
In Gear Manager, open the client, go to the Integrations tab and fill in Ecowitt Weather Stations with both keys. The polling interval is 5 minutes by default, and the history start date decides from when to import (empty means the last 12 months).
Register each station with its MAC address as the device address, under a device model whose script maps the fields Ecowitt returns (temperature, humidity, wind, rain, solar radiation, soil channels) to the device's endpoints. Values arrive in metric units: °C, hPa, m/s, mm and W/m².
Each reading becomes a device variable that you can show on dashboards, use in alarms and include in scheduled reports, together with the history imported from the Ecowitt cloud.
