v1.9.3 — September 2026

September 15, 2026

This release is aimed at installation and field teams: test a device end to end without raising false alarms, take a single device out of service, and capture its position from a phone. It also refreshes the look of Monitor and Manager.

New features

Commissioning test

Check that a newly installed device alerts and acts as expected, without polluting reports with test alarms.

  • Access: Manager → Devices → Devices → open a device → Details tab → Commissioning test section. It appears once the device has been created.
  • Test an alert: in Alert to test, pick one of the device's real alerts and press Send test alert. An alarm is created and the real notifications go out to its recipients. Close test alarm sends the closing notification too.
  • Test an output: in Output to activate, pick an output and press Activate output. A test window opens (90 seconds by default, 10 minutes at most) during which the whole chain runs: action, alert and notification. If the command fails, the window closes.
  • Test alarms: are flagged as tests. They don't appear in active alarms, history, dashboards, maps or reports, they don't escalate, and they don't close real alarms of the same type.

Per-device maintenance mode

Until now, maintenance applied to a whole facility. Now a single device can be put in maintenance too.

  • Access: Manager → Devices → Devices → open a device → Details tab → Maintenance section.
  • Use: Put this device in maintenance / Return this device to service, with an optional Reason.
  • Automatic return: Return to service automatically after (hours). If left empty, the device stays in maintenance until someone returns it to service.
  • Behavior: a device in maintenance raises no alarms and runs no actions. The rest of the facility works normally.

Device position from a phone

  • Access: Manager → Devices → Devices → device → Details tab, below latitude and longitude. Also available when creating the device.
  • Use my current position: takes the browser's GPS position, meant for capturing it on site from a tablet or phone. When done, it shows the approximate accuracy in meters or the reason for the error (permission denied, no signal, timeout).
  • Validation: when creating or editing a device, a position more than 50 km away from its facility is rejected with a message suggesting to check the sign and decimals. The coordinate 0,0 is stored as "no position". If the facility has no coordinates, no check is made.

Event time in notifications

New {ALARM_TIME} variable: the time of the event in the facility's time zone, already formatted.

PlaceholderDescriptionAvailable in
{ALARM_TIME}Event time in the facility's time zoneEmail, SMS, Voice, WhatsApp
  • Works in opening and closing notifications.
  • It is left empty if the time or the facility's time zone cannot be determined.
  • Default templates are unchanged: add the variable to your template to use it.

Daily digest of silent sites

A daily email to the client's administrators to catch problem sites early.

  • Content: devices that stopped reporting since the previous digest, and devices with bursts of alarms, which often come before a failure.
  • Rules: it is only sent when there is something new, excludes devices in maintenance and test alarms, and lists up to 50 rows per section.
  • Availability: off by default. Available on request; contact support.

Improvements

  • New look for Monitor and Manager: rounder corners, new shadows and more compact tables. While loading, lists, dashboards and Monitor → Endpoints show the outline of the content instead of a spinner. The system's reduced-motion preference is respected.
  • Alarm pop-up: the title includes the severity, custom severities too, and the pop-up appears sooner (polling goes from 60 to 15 seconds).
  • Endpoint history: series are drawn as a line, without a dot for every reading.
  • Large reports: changing page no longer re-runs the whole report, and CSV export reuses the run you just viewed if it is less than 30 minutes old.
  • Activity log: bulk actions are recorded under the "Bulk actions" category, one row per operation.
  • Default facility image: refreshed for facilities without their own image.
  • Guided tutorials: hidden while their content is being updated.

API changes

  • Token for a deleted account: returns the new error code 8002 ("The account associated with this access token is disabled or has been deleted") instead of 8001. Integrations that only retry login on 8001 should handle 8002 as well.
  • New methods: DeviceService.RunCommissioningTest and DeviceService.SetDeviceOperationalStatus. The Device entity adds OperationalStatus.
  • Test alarms: AlarmService.CreateTestAlarm and CloseTestAlarm now require alarm configuration and facility edit permissions.
  • Position: CreateDevice and EditDevice apply the 50 km check described above (error 40070).

Bug fixes

  • Android app: push notifications arrive with their buttons and the link to the alarm, and respect the user's quiet hours.
  • Sirens: taking a site or device out of service while a siren is sounding no longer leaves it sounding indefinitely.
  • Widgets with deleted items: if the endpoint, device or facility was deleted, the widget shows "no data" instead of an error.
  • Floor plans: a plan that references a deleted device no longer loses its live data or keeps repeating an error message.
  • StateTimeline widget: the tooltip is no longer clipped and no longer shows "[object Object]".
  • Widget groups: the three-dot menu of a widget inside a group is no longer cut off.
  • Alarm pop-up: for clients without the alarm lifecycle, View details did nothing; it now opens the facility's active alarms report.
  • TCP GPS trackers: no longer stop reporting after a server restart.
